Hi all,
I currently have a graduate account with Lloyd's and am in the process of clearing the overdraft with a view to closing the account (wanting to move banks) does anyone know if I can switch to a new bank but keep the Lloyds open until I have paid the overdraft off?
Basically I have a £1000 overdraft currently (fee and interest free for another year then it will drop to £500 etc). I will be paying off and removing £500 of the overdraft facility at the end of this month and the final £500 in August. I want to open a Halifax account this week to take advantage of the £100 switching bonus (offer finishes on 7th July) and to get the £5 monthly bonus (I have two DDs that go out and my wages are over £750) I will also open a savings account with Halifax and close the two I hold with Lloyds.
I just want to check I'm not breaking any T&Cs before I call in to Halifax tomorrow to set the ball rolling!
TIA :-)

As far as I know there's no limit to the amount of savings accounts or current accounts that you can have. I have 3 current accounts at the moment and no ones fussed about that so I'd say you're fineBroke Student :beer:0
