Any of the major ones will probably allow it (and perhaps a lot of the minor ones too if they don't demand payment by DD), but you'll have to ensure sufficient payment is made to meet the bills and and when they fall due.

The question is, why would you want to pay this way?

You get no discount, and you are effectively providing the supplier with an interest free loan.

I need to start paying fortnightly for budgeting reasons. I would happily to a direct debit if the provider was willing to debit every fortnight

Why not pay into a separate bank account every fortnight?

You can either pay into a regular savings account and earn yourself a tiny little bit of interest in the meantime (but you will have to pay the bills as they arrive)

Or pay into a bank account once a fortnight half the amount the energy company says you need to pay every month by DD :)

At least with these suggestions you get the pick of the whole market, rather than having to limit yourself to just one supplier/tariff if it exists that will accept payment by SO.

Any utility that provides a Sort and A/c number will let you use a SO - because the won't know, all the see is the funds arriving.

You set it up, control the amount and the frequency - just ensure you provide the A/c number so they know where to allocate the funds.
