Garage Floor

We're finishing our garage.... making it more a 'boot room' than a garage. We'd like to put in an easy to clean, practical floor and my father suggest an epoxy. Has anyone used this? Any tips, suggestions, etc?

How about Leyland trade heavy duty floor paint, ive used this on floors before. You can get it in red, green and grey just give it a few coats with a roller. You could once painted brush it down or mop it to clean it.

I have just been using some from Dulux for a job at work, personally I don't like the high sheen surface that some floor paints come with as they can get very slippery.

I would go for one with the added grip material for a non slip surface.

Thanks guys - we actually used that leyland paint for our old garage, and it didn't work so well. Started flaking after a few months (even after priming, etc) (and husbands a qualified painter/decorator). Cheers.

We use 2 part epoxy floor paint in plantrooms all the time and providing it's mixed properly it lasts for ages even with kit being dropped on it, ladders and towers being erected and high levels of foot traffic. Only downside is the cost but as your OH is in the trade he should get a good discount
