Driving Licence Address - is it linked

Hi there,

I am planning on moving in with my partner and was wondering if I change my address on my driving licence, can bad debt find me?

My bank account is at my parents address where any letters go if I don get any but wondered if I change the address on my driving licence, does this flag up anywhere to banks etc as I have some default accounts and wouldn't want any letters finding their way to my partners.

Thanks

The more relevant point is that it is an offence to have the incorrect address on your licence.

I understand that and am going to change it but wondered if this is logged anywhere publicly.

One you have to by law, have the correct information on your license.

Two they won't find you by this, but via the electoral role. Which again by law you have to fill it in correctly.

So wouldn't it be better to come clean BEFORE you move in? Only fair on her really.

    Thanks for replies.

I have told her the situation, just didn't want to worry her with any "red letters" so to speak.

    Thanks again

If you're moving in together, I'd perhaps make sure you have no linked accounts. (dont open a joint account for bills etc)
as otherwise, she could become liable for your debts should anything happen.
