Philc - Slimline panels should be great for lodgers cos of the low running cost, low maintanence and the fact that they cannot be turned up.
Our previous next door neigbours rented a property to students and wondering why the gas bill was so high went round tp find the heating on 24/7and the thermostat turned up to 30 c in the middle of one of the hottest summers we have had in ages. OMG! What a nightmare!
::)
I'm aiming for that zone between reasonably warm and the point where people decide to go out and buy their own 5kW sauna machine.
Don't have any gas I'm pleased to say, I don't think I could bear the excitement!!!

I would recommend getting radiator panels installed behind all radiators that are against an outside wall. They claim to save 25% off heating bills and cost about £28 for up to 5 standard radiators. Easy to install as well.

This is one site or alternatively call local council, many have a scheme with discounts for anyone looking to install these.0
