I got declined for a credit card over Xmas, i wont to apply for another one but i want to run a credit check first.
I used the free trials a few years ago with experian and equifax, I just logged into them but i cant find the £2 check that MSE says is available. experian want £14.99 per month.
have i got it wrong? do i have to pay the full £14.99 to get access to my credit file?

I'm sure I have previously had a free trial of Experian, but I've just got a free trial from Credit Expert (experian) anyway.
I like it. (though £15 a month is silly money)
I had a financial association that no longer exists, emailed them on the site last week and looked today, the association has been removed.
I'd run a £2 check tidy it up a bit, and then go for a free trial (if you can) a month or so later to see what still needs fixing.0 -
Experian and Equifax do make it tricky to find the £2 statutory report on their websites, and they keep moving them about.. Google is usually the easiest way to find them (search for statutory credit report).
