Flower delivery recommendations

Avoid all national brands and especially interflora. Instead, Google florists + the town where your friend lives, or use the yellow pages. Check out online feedback and reviews if possible.

Interflora exists because it used to be hard to find florists in a faraway town, but it isn't any more so go direct. Partly because it will be a bit cheaper, but mainly because you tend, on average, to get more for your money in terms of quality. When a florist gets an order from a national service they know the person ordering is unlikely ever to see the flowers, so there's a temptation to send stuff that, shall we say, is unlikely to be purchased from the shop window.

I agree with some of the other comments. Contact florist local to your friend. They'll take far more care than the likes of debenhams, m&s ete, plus you'll get better value for money. Ive recieved flowers myself from m &s and next and was disappointed. Mind you I am a florist so more critical!

Don't order from M&S at the moment. They are having problems with the delivery supplier and I have had 3 lots of flowers damaged so over a week after placing the order the recipient has yet to receive anything at all. Can't complain about their customer services but I would wait a little while to give them time to sort it out.
