Halifax ppi claim. Advice needed!

I have 2 old loans and an old mortgage with the Halifax.i had found the account numbers and have just phoned their 'dedicated ppi' phone line to see whether 1. There is any ppi to claim and 2. How to do it.
They told me straight away that there was no ppi on any of the accounts but they filled out a complaints form on my behalf anyway.
My hubby is 90% sure that at least one of the loans had ppi on it though..do I trust them to look into it thoroughly or not?? Advice would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

More recent records are easy to review. Older ones can find wrong information given back because data is not always filed where it should be or may not even exist anymore.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). So should I leave them to deal with it for me do you think?
I did make me wonder why,if she told me there was no ppi showing that they still offered to file a complaint/claim..0 -

Unless you can provide them information to the contrary you either accept it or spend £10 to do a data subject access request.I did make me wonder why,if she told me there was no ppi showing that they still offered to file a complaint/claim..
They dont employ these people to think. Just to take instruction.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They will have done it because if they didn't offer to set up an investigation, customers would just come on forums like this saying they thin they have been fobbed off.
Your hubby may well remember a discussion about PPI but it may not have been added.0
