Gas Cooker Help Needed Please

Hi
I got a problem with a brand new gas cooker I have purchased from Comet.
Now please bear in mind I have cooked with gas all my life so am totally used to it. So my new cooker is in and connected, and works . . . . . well to a point, and there lies my problem.
I have used it 3 times since I got it. It took 45mins at gas mark 9 top shelf to do some chips  1hour 10mins again at number 9 for chicken kiev, and 20mins at 9 to heat some nann bread up:mad:
I am not happy to say the least. I contacted Comet who are sending an engineer out Wednesday, but they said if its working then I will be charged.
Well it is working, but not correctly?
I want some advise really, what can I do?
I am very unhappy with this whole situation, and have been moved to tears. It was only a cheap cooker but that should make no difference. It should work for the purpose it was sold for. I cannot have it on number 9 at all times and wait and hope that at some stage things may go a little brown.
What should I do? Can I get it swopped if the engineer says its ok?
Can I pay more and get a "better " one even though its in and connected and used?
Any help you can give me would be most gratefully recieved
Thanks ( sorry for ranting but its very upsetting )

your cooker is faulty, the liquid expansion fsd phial isnt working, or not in the right place, the engineer should be able to fix it there and then if he has the part, or replace the cooker0

Good evening: Was the cooker tested when it was installed?
CanuckleheadAsk to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)0
