cheap suits

hello!
I am looking for a place with variety of modern men suits (not slim fit), that cost around 50p or so, but don't look cheap
any idea, apart from Primark, where they have only 2 colors?
thanks!

Do you mean £50 as I think even in charity shops 50p wouldn't get you a suit?

Cheap suits cost about £500. A standard fitted suit costs 7 or £800. You may occasionally find a fitter offering a sale price of 4 or £500.

Spending £50 (or, more realistically, 79 or £99) on a suit is a false economy.

And there I thought Michael Winner died earlier this year appears he is alive and well in these forums as the previous reply proves.
  • Have you tried the supermarkets? I don't know what the mens suits are like but Tesco and Asda womens clothing have always been pretty good judging by the stuff I've had from them over the years. The other options may be Matalan or TK Maxx (though the last option may be a bit more hit and miss)

Son's prom suit came from Matalan - can't remember how much the suit itself was but we got the suit, shirt and shoes for around £75. It was a really nice silvery grey and specifically went for cheap as we thought he would only wear it once. Two years on and he has worn it for numerous interviews and it still looks good. Everyone comments on how smart he looks in it.

Matalan seems to have great pieces, but they are slim fit! (at least the blue ones I am after)
