when I do CBS, I use a rail but mines quite decent quality (and I found it in thew street!) but I also put some things on a decorators table on the last sale I did and that did quite well for some reason, but I think thats better if you sell them all at the same price. I find any clothes I hang on the car don't sell.0

When I carboot, I tey to set out at least 2 decorators tables with boxes underneath for books. One table for clothes which are sorted into tops/trousers etc and the other for dvd's etc. Just don't overprice else people will look then walk.0

I stop my rail from blowing over by using tent pegs and thick string. It works! My daughters are my world0

i found putting some nice outfits together on a big blanket next to the rail attracted lots of attention and sales0

I bought an armful of clothes last year from someone emigrating. I dont normally rake thru clothes on the ground, but she was inviting buyers to look thru her stuff and she had sorted the clothes into sizes. She had stuff on a table and stuff on a throw on the grass and stuff in her car boot ... when I picked up a pair of Next trousers she offered me several other pairs of Next trousers and even a couple of tops that went with them ... it was like having a personal shopper! All of her items were £2 but they were mint condition ... so I would say the best way to get sales is to clearly display the sizes and be friendly and inviting to booters!0

Tie the Argos stand to the car with string, that's what we did.
Or pile the clothes in a heap on the floor and wonder why no one buys them !!0 -
take the wheels off the bottom of the clothes rail, gives much better stability

i dont know if its practicasl for you. but at a boot sale last week i saw someone had welded together some pits of old piping. it proved to be a hell of a lot more stable than the surrounding "argos" rails which seemed to be tumbling over left right and centre.0
