Credit Card PPI - Can i reclaim it if i never asked for it?

Hello,
I have been claiming back charges on various accounts and noticed that I had been paying PPI on a credit card. Having gone through all my documents i can not find any paperwork that suggests i ever agreed to the PPI. Can I claim it back? has anyone else gone through this?
