What's the best way to do this and avoid weirdos?

There are websites specifically for people like yourself looking for lodgings during the week only.
There's one called Five Nights and another called Monday to Friday.
Don't know about avoiding the weirdos, I guess it's a risk you'll have to take, in the same way that the people renting out the room does.
I'm thinking of renting out one of my bedrooms on a weekday basis only and I will no doubt advertise it on one or maybe both of those sites.
Good luck with your search0 -

Hi CM
Thanks for the websites - the fivenights site especially looks like it has several options.
I mentioned 'weirdos' due to a bad experience in bracknell in the late 90s ...luckily i found alternative accomodation that time.
Good luck with finding a decent lodger!0 -
airbnb is another great site to look at - from one night to a longer time like yours - they are flexible. good luck0

If you're going for work, could be worth asking the firm for help/advice on digs. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Thanks.
Yes I will definitely do that.
II will be working for he NHS so will also have the option of on site accommodation, but this is much more expensive (~600pcm) than lodging, so is my current plan b.0
