We bought a 1.25 2008 Fiesta "Style" (replacing a 1999 Focus which we'd had for about 9 years). This is a petrol model. This was in early May. It has an occasional Italian tune up on the weekend

But luckily for me ....

the DPF was introduced on cars built from March 2010 onwards.
