Driveway Gravel

We are looking for a Scottish Quarry Supplier for about 6 tonne of driveway gravel. We want them to loose deliver as we hear it is cheaper.

Any recommendations for good Scottish companies - the cheaper the better please. B+Q and Homebase are expensive.

Thanks

Mark

Find a local Builders' Merchant - not a DIY store.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

as above. what gravel do u want? i got unwashed 10mm pea gravel at about £40 a ton i think. it rolls tho and u lose loads over a year!

maybe get something bigger, like 20mm. when its delivered on a flat bed just get the man to dangle the bag just above the drive and slash the bottom with a stanley knive. u can then just rake it.

But as the OP realises it will be much cheaper on a tipper, which is why he wants to go that way.

My two penn'orth, go for chippings rather than gravel for a drive surface, they bed and settle better as they don't roll about.

And make careful measurements and estimation, you want it all in 1 load, don't be short.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
