Postage cost advice please

This isn't actually related to ebay but I know there are postal experts here so I hope it's ok for me to post here.

I need to post a large letter and, having weighed it, the RM website says it will cost 90 pence. I can't get to a post office for a few days. Would it be ok to just put 2 normal first class stamps on it, or do I need proper large letter stamps?

Thanks :)

You can make up the exact postage with stamps to the value, you don't need a specific Large Letter stamp. I do this all the time!

2 x first class stamps = £1.20 (which is the first class LL up to 250g rate) so if anything you're putting too much postage on.

Print it through paypal or through royal mail, save the 30p.

You could put two 2nd class stamps and write 1ST CLASS LARGE LETTER on it, if it weighs 100g or less, though it probably will have less chance of getting there in 1 day
