    although your advice is sound, and applies to the UK. You have linked to a website for the republic of ireland.

    Does it really matter when it all happened 8 months ago?
  • Ask you current employer for a P46 form or declaration. this will ensure you temporarily don't overpay tax if this now is you only job

    because. Unlike 8 months ago we no longer need to pay any tax. p45 is ancient.

    I dug this thread up because I googled "how to get missing p45" and came here.

    Had some good advice. Just thought why on Earth am I on a .ie website???

    Update: if you need a p45 to work out your tax code then this will be of no help. If you need it to prove your income, for whatever reason.

    Call 0300 200 3300 and request a written statement of income.
