    depends on your situation.
    are you a lone parent?
    do you work?
    household income?
    rate of DLA?

Have you advised HMRC? Award of DLA can result in a disability premium being added to any Child Tax Credits.

    do you receive tax credits?
how much to you earn a week?

if you receive ctc, you would get an addition premium because of the DLA award.
if you earn no more than £100 a week, you could claim carers allowance

I was going to reply to this thread, based on the OP, but having read the posts since then, I have decided not to. I'm not sure of the situation and I'm sure I'm not the only person who is confused!

If you look at the ops other threads it may make things clearer. But then it may not.
