Hi,
Having checked my deposit for my flat is registered with mydeposits.co.uk, can anyone tell me how I can see what date my deposit was registered with them? It says the deposit was collected from me on 10th Jan 2013, but it is protected 16th March 2013 until three months after the property is vacated (my AST contract dates are 01/02/13-28/09/13). The reason I ask is that I understand that if my deposit was not protected within 30 days I am within my rights to take this to court, despite the deposit still being protected? This is not something I'd normally be brave enough to do, however after finding out that she has already taken £100 from my deposit for fees I've already paid before putting it into the scheme (written to her about this for an explaination and refund), I feel I am well within my rights.
Thanks in advance!

A deposit must be protected within 30 days of receipt, they must also serve the prescribed information within 30 days, so yes you are within your rights to take your landlord to court if you so desire.0
