Thomas Cook - Any ways to get the price down ?

I'm looking at a holiday with Thomas Cook for myself, husband and our three children (17,14 and 6) for mid August 2013 - since viewing the holiday on Friday evening it has already gone up £200 ! Can anyone tell me if there are any discount codes available for Thomas Cook or if I went to book via the Travel Agents they would be able to reduce the price a little or perhaps offer a free child place ? We can go AI for an extra £511 but just can't justify paying over £3000 for 1 week away in the sun. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance :-)

I tried to do this with TC a few years ago but they wouldn't budge on the price. I took the details to other TA's and the only one who offered a bit better deal was the Coop. In the end I bought it all independently online and saved a lot.

Have you looked to see how much it is to buy the flights, acc and transfers separately?

If you book via Topcashback you get money back!

Think it was 2% or so last time I looked.

I feel your pain regarding cost. We have 4 kids and pay over £5k now for a 2 wk AI holiday in August. Now 3 of them are teenagers it's just silly money.

We always book in advance get free child places and save all year!

If you know someone who has a works scheme ie superdrug workers, Derbyshire council workers, some fire services they can get Thomas cook worldwide travel vouchers at 5% less than the real face value.
