need to buy roller blind material

Hi all,

we are decorating our bathroom, and instead of buying new blinds for the window, i want to re-use the existing roller blinds as the mechanism works fine its just the pattern of the blind i dont like (its peach!)

Does anyone know where i can buy roller blind material from?

We wanted to do this the other way round - we had some curtains and wanted the blind to match.

We bought a 'blind kit' from Homebase and it had a sachet of PVA glue in it, which we had to dilute and soak the 'blind' fabric, i.e. curtain, thoroughly, then hang it up to dry. We pegged it up on a line in the garage with an old piece of carpet underneath, a lot of the glue will drip off (you don't squeeze it out).

The resulting stiffened fabric was then cut to fit and has worked very well for 5 years now. We are getting ready for a change, though.

So you don't need to buy special, get what you like and make your own. PVA is readily available (wood glue, etc.)
