hi

i was wondering if any of the buyers have been facing delays for valuation to be booked ?

I have a mortgage offer on 1 property since 3-4 months now , however the vendor either doesnt like most properties they see or makes an offer which never gets accepted

so we found another 1, which is 10k more , broker submitted application as per my report on 17th , got a call on tuesday to take valuation fees confirming they are lending just 2k more so i said am happy to put in extra 8k

however the sellers EA hasnt received call yet to book valuation, on the other hand on previous property the valuation was done and offer made within a week of payment

btw its LBG

thx

There are other threads on here commenting on delays in the lender's surveyor undertaking the valuation, and LBG was one of those lenders.

Sheer volume of work and the surveyor company not having the resources to cope with the sudden increase in demand.

There a longer than average waiting time for valuations with a number of companies at the moment. Halifax is one lender affected.

    No. There isn't.

They are dealing with cases in order they were received. You can give them a ring and see if they can tell you anything general, but I doubt it;-
