Hi, I have read through loads of fabulous articles, cheers for everybody who has posted. I now have a ticket as above, which I assume means I should now enter an initial weak response.
Then I should appeal to POPLA. Would be grateful for confirmation of this, and then when ready, a read through of my POPLA appeal letter.
Many thanks

Did you get a ticket on the car, or a Notice to Keeper some time after.? And is it in England or Wales? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

At face value, this looks like another toothbrush case.
OP - don't worry about the obtuse reference above. Once we get some more information from you we'll give you more info on the 'toothbrush' that will definitely help you have a good weekend
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi, notice was on windscreen in van in England0
-
Best wait for the Notice to Keeper in the post, as long is you are the registered keeper, as they are normally non-compliant with the Protection of Freedoms Act. If it's a company/leased vehicle, best to appeal directly to the Notice to Driver (the notice on the windscreen).
Read this transcript (toothbrush reference) to see one reason why the leaving the site excuse does not wash (there are also many other appeal points).0 -
Hi
It is my vehicle and should have made clear, it is a small camper van, not a trade van.0 -
If it is a leased/hired/company van you need to take them out of the equation by challenging the fake ticket (below) before the Notice to Keeper arrives, if you are the registered keeper hold fire until the NtK arrives, then send this.
Name
Address
Date
Dear Scammers,
In reference to the speculative invoice received xxxxxx dated xxxxxx, the keeper denies all liability to your company as it is an unlawful punitive charge, thus a penalty! If you reject this challenge the keeper requires within 35 days a popla verification code for them to appeal independently, per Version 3 of the BPA Code of Practice.
The keeper has nothing further to add, and will not respond to any correspondence from your company unless it contains the popla code, furthermore the keeper is fully aware that you must pay £27+Vat for this, so don't forget!
The challenge will be deemed accepted if there is no popla code on any rejection that you supply within the time-frame stipulated above.
Yours Faithfully

So you just have to WAIT at the moment, armitagelucas, please don't rush to send it because that's ready for Notice to Keeper stage (and when you do send it don't say 'Dear Scammers'!
While you are waiting, read other threads here on the first/second page of the current forum, about any PPC and how to challenge at POPLA. Best to be ready and clued up on how you will easily beat this joke of a firm.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
