No need to buy a Sat Nav again

I was recently faced with a decision to update my TomToms map and renew a years traffic. Then I read about a newish Sat Nav that is free if you have a smart phone or connected tablet.
The Sat Nav's called Waze, I don't know if it already been mentioned, but after giving it two weeks of really intensive use I have found it to be the best out there.
Download it for free from iTunes and other download portals. Saved me £99! :money:

You get what you pay for! The mapping is far from satisfactory and is a lot worse than a number of GPS systems I have used.0

I use Google Maps on the iPhone while out doing takeaway deliveries. Never had a problem yet and it's freee!0

I still prefer the sat nav that's integrated into my stereo (it came free, as I've got quite an expensive car). The only issue I've had with it, is that it doesn't recognise the existence of Lithuania (although did work by inputting a Belorussian town, as I was going to a town on the border), but apart from that, it's brilliant!
I'd also be concerned about 3G usage on my phone, especially as I drive abroad a lot.

I use nav-free which is excellent. I spent £1.50 and have speed cameras too.0

I thought it was against the law to use your phone for any reason whilst driving, might be exceptions though for sat-nav but.....0

waze is rubbish. It has the potential but its not there by a long way.
I read that google are interested in buying it. Now that could be the way forward.
Google maps with live data from other users on the same road. Only downside. Google have banned me again because i use fake names.

I second those that mentioned Google Maps, I've used my Apple maps nav when in a different car to my own. Have got the tomtom app on my itunes that i used considerably last year before i changed cars, thought it was worth paying more for how much i was using nav - plus i knew that if i didnt buy a car with a sat nav, i knew id have a working nav as long as i had an iphone...0
