Old Lombard direct loan

Hi everyone

Hope someone can give me some advise. I have an old Lombard direct loan that had a ppi on it that was mis sold to me as I was advised that I had to have the ppi to have the loan. Anyway the loan was paid off in November 2007 and I have no account or policy numbers. I rang rbs ppi claims and the person I spoke to said they needed my account number and as I didn't know it I have to write to the following address below who should give me my account number and then she told me to ring them back with the account number!! Has anybody written to this address before and how easy is it to get an old ppi back? All I know is that when the balance of the loan was taken from my account in 2007 Lombard direct took two payments from my account 5586 and 13251. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
The address I was given is

Just send the letter to the address, asking whether it's "easy" to find is unwise since every complaint is individual to the complainant.
  • Hi I have just had two claims recently upheld with Lombard Direct. I wrote to them at the address you have but addressed the letter to Lombard Direct as this is on their letterhead. Hope this helps

How long did it take before you heard something?
  • oooooo..........I've just seen this post and just posted a similar question elsewhere! I still have the paperwork to a loan taken out in 1987 (yep 26 years ago....self confessed hoarder!) for furniture. Billypc02, would the address you show be the same for a loan in 1987 do you know (or dos anyone know!) -thanks

I wrote to this address. A few weeks ago. I include a £10 cheque made out to royal bank of Scotland. I had my reply this week with a copy of my loan application from 1998 . I have sent my claim off this week and hope I get a good reply soon :)

What information did you put in your letter? Should I just give my address and date of birth? I don't have any policy numbers and I can't remember the date I took the loan out! I just know the loan ended in nov 2007. Going to write the letter tomorrow so any tips of what to put in it would be grateful

We just asked if they could find any info on my hubbie. His date of birth, our address and the rough time of the loan. And the all important £10 cheque. All came back within 2 weeks of sending of first letter. They are allowed 40 days to respond.
  • Mine took eight weeks and a further two weeks to receive two cheques

Well I've sent my letter off today with the £10 so I will let you know when I hear back from them
  • Hi

I've had several loans over the years with Lombard Tricity, does anyone know what happened to them, who took them over and how would I go about reclaiming PPI which I know was put on the loans?
