Chargebacks have no £100 limit, but the idea is that:
    • Chargebacks are a Visa/Mastercard/Amex scheme they impose on their members, there is nothing in law.
    • Section 75 protection is a UK law.

If you're owed £100 or more paid on credit, you may as well proceed down the Section 75 route as you're 100% guaranteed a successful outcome and you can complain until you achieve it (assuming you're in the right of course).

Chargebacks and Section 75 protection are both valid, regardless of the other party's ability to pay:
    • Section 75 the liability is on your bank/card issuer.
    • Chargeback the liability is on the merchant's card services provider (acquiring bank).

You should be able to do a chargeback, no problem. As they haven't been fully wound up and debts are still being settled, they will most likely still have an open bank account, which Visa can use to do a chargeback. The company have no grounds to challenge the chargeback, so you should be fine.
I have done a Visa chargeback for a £70 item when a business ceased trading and had no problems whatsoever :)

That's great to know thanks. :)

Just an update incase anyone has the same issue - I called Natwest - they sent me a form. Which I filled in and sent a copy of the letter the hotel sent. I've not had any correspondence at all but just noticed on July 22nd the money was returned to my bank. So I'm one happy camper!
