In a right mess on sick.

Hi i have had an illness for 2 years the doctors and consultants can't put a name to it yet. Last year i had to have 5 months off work because of in and out of hospital. Then april this year it flared up really bad again and i'm off work again.. there is only me working part time ,i live with my husband and son.we have working credits and child credits. i have to pay 2 thirds of my rent and practically all my council tax.. I had been getting company sickpay but i got paid yesterday and its a lot smaller wage than last month doesnt even cover my bills and got no shopping in the house..also as of tomorrow the car is off the road too due to not being taxed..
There is no sign of the doctor letting me go back to work yet and i have no idea what i should do .. would i be better off not working.. my son goes to high school in september and i have to get all his uniform, school pe kit is £35 which has to be paid in the next two weeks. sorry if this is in the wrong place, can't concentrate as been crying all day..

Is there a reason your husband doesn't work?
if not, does he get anything in the way of income?

Your husband should be at least applying for Job Seekers alloance,
Why has he not done this before.

Is he still actively seeking employment.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Well if your income is dropping below the couples JSA level ,then that maybe different now
    Im no expert on this.
As for your husband, given your health then its time for him to step up.
No work in 2 years? We are talking take anything here
My partner got paid off recently and has picke up 2 (crap) casual positions
Money is erratic and not great, but its money in the pocket

If your sick pay income is below £112 per week then your OH can claim JSA, this would then passport you to max HB and CTS. Remember to let WTC know when your SSP runs out you will no longer be treated as in remunerative work.

They can't figure mine out after 7 years :rotfl:

Run out of tests and thrown me on the scrapheap aka symptom management (only covers 2 problems).

Don't make the mistake of thinking Drs have all the answers because it is 2013 :rotfl:

One you start looking for people who are long term undiagnosed it's truly shocking just how many you find.

Is there any chance your employer would consider your husband for your position as delivery driver if you were to give up work completely, or even do a job share with you to enable you to keep the job on?
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
