Can you upload the picture you took on the phone and share it with us here? That should clear up any confusion and ensure you get the best advise on what to do next.

It wasn't overbanding, its like a spill shaped patch. I MUST report thisbe aide its dangerous. I thought is already said there's just superficial damageim not looking for the council to buy a new scooter I only wanted to know what I'm SUPPOSED to do now. No I wasn't by the curb I position myself in the middle of the road, for the most part to give myself a dominant position. Yes the road has seen a lot of accidents. I do look out for overbanding, as I'm always driving in residential areas. I really feel like I'm not being understood, am I making much sense? The road here needs to be seen toto. theres the area of the road I described about half a car wide and a couple of cars long, goes over the crossing which is why there are markings painted over it. I don't actually think illbe replacing anything so no coughing up to do. i just want to k.ow what my responsibility is as someone whose aware of it. I'll be avoiding this road just like I avoid the roads with the worst potholes. On my phone now so I'm sure ill make even less sense.

That's good then. I'm sick to the back teeth of bikes that sit on white lines between two lanes, you just don't have a clue which lane their in. Where we are there is one particular road with one lane left only and one lane straight on - the straight on then splits in to two lanes - a lot of motorbikes filter between moving traffic on the white line, so if you are in lane 2 it's quite a sharp pull to the left after to get in to lane 1 of the next part for which you have to be so careful and aware of the moron on the white line going straight on whilst undertaking! But that's a whole other rant!

Take as many pics as you can and get in touch with your local council to see if the agree that there's a problem, is it possible you skidded on any spilt fuel?

Not in Dudley by any chance? Some of the roads around here are a disgrace.

There is a petrol station on the road but I don't think there was any on the road there. and defo no oil, which is what I expected at first. Arcon5 that's a rant id like to be in on. Ok so its pictures and council. I will when I can, I can also talk to them about some potholes I know about at the same time? I'll try to get the picture up because I hate leaving people confused.

If all you want to do is report it then it's quite likely that your council's website will have a form specifically for reporting faults on the roads - mine does, I used it and a nasty pothole was filled in 2 days later.

Surely this is as much rider error. Why would you apply the front break first?

Seems you've skidded on the surface.

there is a stretch of road on my way home from work like that must be 50 meters long going half way over the one side of the road, as riding a motorbike I avoid it like the plague it does not look safe as no grip it just looks smooth, I can understand how you come off on that, hope you and your bike gets sorted asap

I'd just be claiming of the car that hit you and let their insurance squabble about road surfaces.

If you go onto google street view, you can send a link like this:
