    If you have not already sent them a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter, then that is all that remains for you to do. A SAR will provide all information the Bank has kept on file for at least the last six years and (sometimes) more. It costs £10, so be reasonably sure it's worth it.
    Excellent template here;

    This is old finance and if you don't have any documentary evidence from your own archive it's likely you won't be able to progress any complaints as the bank are not obliged to keep records going back so far.
  • Re your mortgage

    I couldnt find details of my bank of scotland mortgage from 1998.

    My solicitor had all the details still on file from when I purchased house. I got a copy of mortgage paperwork to get mortgage number!

    I then sent a SAR to my bank and got a copy of bank statements showing direct debits

    Dont know if that might help?
