Halifax "lost" payment!!

So i made a payment to my Halifax credit card for £7 on 15/5 (before the May statement was produced)
When the May statement arrived the balance was £7.36- so having paid the £7 already i paid a further £1- as in total that covers the balance.... or so i thought!!!
I have just received a snotty letter from Halifax saying i am in arrears... and then my latest statement stating the same that i am now in arrears???
At no point on the May or June paper statement did the £7 payment show?? But it does on my current account- called them and had a painful 45 min call trying to rectify this despite the fact i am not in the wrong. Eventually she said that they would refund the late payment charge, add the £7, pay me £10 compo and file a report so as this does not affect my credit file.
Right so today i log onto my halifax account and there on the screen on May's statement is this £7- the £7 which is not on any of my paper statements. My friend thinks they have just updated it but i thought it would reflect on this months statement- not on a historic one??
Worried now- any advice??

Why worried? They have admitted a mistake, corrected the mistake (and now shown the £7 credit when it should have appeared in the first place), refunded the charges and offered £10 compensation. You are in a better position (+£10) than you started - so what is there to worry about?
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

They will have backdated the payment on the computer systems.

A simple case of selecting the date that the payment should have been made and not the date it was processed by the operative.
