I originally started the whole PPI reclaim thing as a result of MBNA writing to me about a PPI on my Virgin credit card. I nearly didn't complete the paperwork, as it seemed a lot of bother, but I did spend an hour doing it in the end, and sent it off, expecting nothing much to come of it.
I received a letter back a few weeks later in February, offering me nearly £3,000 which I couldn't believe :j
So, that prompted me to start looking at all of he other loans, credit cards and overdrafts I've had over the years. I've submitted another 6 complaints since, which I've had to fill out FOS questionnaires for, but I think its time well spent, as another £2,800 turned up in my bank account yesterday, so presume that's to do with one of my Barclays loans that went into my Barclays Bank account. Haven't had the letter confirming where it came from yet, but obviously success number two :j
So, for anyone wondering if they should be bothered with claiming, I would suggest you do.. I'm over £5k better off this year so far, and potentially a lot more to go yet
