Diamond car insurance - when to expect renewal notice/letter?

Morning folks, quick question - do you know when Diamond tend to send out their renewal letter or email?
I know companies can vary and some apparently don't even bother sending them - just auto renew and send you policy documents.
Still waiting on OH's letter. my renewal with quotemehappy came almost exactly 28 days before the end of the policy.
Just eager to finalise new insurance, want to have the NCD proof and info on procedure for cancelling Diamond auto-renewal first.
Cheers

When is it due? Anywhere between 28 days and 14 days minus a few for postage.
You dont have to wait for them to contact you. Why not contact them or shop around anyway?
I start shopping 30 days before it's due. Most companies will keep to the price quoted. Make sure you save the reference number.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
We switched motor insurance to Diamond last December. They said they would auto-renew the following year. No way...I have made a note to contact them before renewal. IIRC all written correspondence was by email, including being emailed the policy documents. I would phone them if I were you, Ian.0

Thanks. I have already got quote sorted. Going multicar this year as it reduces my insurance from £500 to £360. All together - £70 cashback its only £670 for both cars. Which is great considering last year I paid £1400 roughly for both. ( think mine has reduced dramatically as I've nearly crossed the young driver age boundary)
Thanks for advise. I am planning to call diamond to stop auto renewal but wanted to see if renewal letter NCD proof came first. Still got 3 weeks to go. Otherwise have to get them to send seperate ncd proof too. Would rather have shortest conversation possible on their expensive number.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Use saynoto0870.com as it has plenty of numbers for the Admiral group of companies.
I know Bell, another Admiral brand along with elephant and diamond, send my renewal docs by post and typically they arrive about 10 days before the renewal. That said, I've been with them for a few years (obviously phoning each year to get the customary 30% discount) so may be I am in an older bucket of policies that dont get them electronically.0 -
About a month in advance. E-mail attachment with all the new policy documents and certificate, warning that it will auto-renew unless cancelled.
There was no obvious easy way of cancelling, so would have taken a bit of persistence to talk to someone or write.
In the event the quote was competitive so we let it renew. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Ok will be on lookout for email then. Knew about the auto-renewal that's why I want to sort it as soon as possible. It's at 18 days til renewal at the moment. I will be switching regardless of renewal price as found a really good multi-car deal elsewhere. The Diamond quote would have to be less than £200 to better it.
I just want the NCD evidence to know I've got it sorted and ready to send.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

I've just sent them an email to ask for the info + cancel auto renewal. Worth a try anyway if it avoids having to call.
In their terms and conditions it simply says - contact customer services - nothing about the form it has to take, so we'll see.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
