Splendour of the Seas-average cost of drinks?

Hi All
We are splashing out this year as its our 25th anniversary and have booked a weeks cruise on The Royal Caribbean Splendour of the Seas. We have been looking at their All-Inclusive drinks package which costs about £220 each. We were wondering if anyone could tell us the average cost of a round of drinks on the boat please. Obviously we will be having a drink on board but were wondering if its worth getting the package or just paying as we go. Thanks for any help here.

It depends how much you drink, but £30 a day is a fair amount to spend. You also need to check the small print exclusions.

That's their Classic drinks package costing $45pp/day, don't forget they limit what drinks are included in the package to anything $8 and below. If the drink is over $8 you pay the lot NOT just the difference! Many wines and cocktails are over this limit. Their Premium package takes drinks up to $12 but that package costs more again - better for the wine buff. Look at their website they give you all the details of what is and isn't included, OK

I found Cruise Critic site really helpful for questions like this. Before our cruise there was somebody who had put a spreadsheet together to hlep you work out what sort of package was worth buying. When we went, DH had a premium package and I had classic. He did get his money's worth no question; for mine we probably broke even but we also liked the convenience of it

I think we would spend more than the £220 if we were just paying as we go. If a beer is $7 roughly then if I have 6 beers a day then it will pay for itself I think
