The Railway Museum could be rammed, but for a very good reason. All 6 surviving Gresley A4 Pacifics are at the museum in celebration of Mallard achieving the steam train world speed record 75 years ago. Two have come from across the pond so it is unlikely to happen again for many years.

You can do the York City Sightseeing bus tour with Tesco vouchers.0

There are often vouchers for Jorvik and York Dungeons around. Pretty good days out.
I think you can get 2 for 1 on York Dungeons with a rail ticket (I saw something about it on the Northern Rail Website.0 -
We spent a cheap midweek break in York. Used tesco vouchers for Jorvick, we had a free (donation only) trip to the railway museum which was fantastic, and we wondered down the cobbled streets and window shopped. But my favourite trip was York cathedral. We're not Christian, but it was moving and beautifu...and free! All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost.0 -
