Google checkout and E Buyer problem

Not sure if this is the right place but feel free to move is necessary.

I want to place an order with E Buyer using Google checkout. Have just gone through the process and my card was declined. Tried another card, this was also declined so rang bank. They have not declined anything.

Got my son to try for me using his card and this was also declined. Is this usual or are E Buyer or Google checkout having problems?

    You are not alone !

It's happening to a fair few people today, I'd advise just sitting tight and waiting 'til the problem is rectified.

Hi I have not had any problems although I registered my card (citibank) about a month ago with google-checkout, although I did register my son's card (hsbc switch) on tuesday and had no problems, the offer with google-checkout £10 off any £30 order is due to expire on 11th june 2007.

also my son did have problems with his mastercard amd switch both issued by hsbc, until he registered them with mastercard securecode, you get a secure number via hsbc internet banking.
    hope this helps

Two out of the three cards we have tried are registered with Visa securecard. Will just have to wait and see if problem resolves itself.

I also registered not long after computerwoman (thanks again for the heads up) and had no problems with my Visa card, so it does sound like a recent problem.

Just for info, I also had no problems registering on Wednesday (30th) with Mastercard - I am registered with securecode although I wasn't prompted for my password by Google.

Still not working for me and this is using a card that previously worked OK. I have tried deleting the card and re-adding it but the details are still not accepted.
