Hi,
Just listed some concert tickets on ebay tonight for an event I can no longer attend :-(
Had 100 page views and 3 watchers in an hour and now my listing has been cancelled by ebay because of new 'rules'.
I see a lot of other listings disappearing as well,
Seems you can no longer list tickets as an individual and have to go through stubhub which has a nasty corporate feel to it?
Not only that but when you search for the tickets the stubhub options come after the regular ebay posts.
Here is ebay's message

I think they announced it was coming at the beginning of the year, this is one of the more recent threads about it in the e-bay section

Here's the article

Fees are not cheapStubHub takes 25 per cent of the final sale price0 -
its a joke genuine people trying to sell tickets are now getting ripped off-u dont get paid till after the even and there a massive feeWhat goes around-comes around0

You might want to remove your ebay ID?
Maybe try selling on gumtree?0 -
there's loads of selling pages on facebook :-) Don't have to use ebay. Ebay is always a last resort for anything i'm selling lol2012 - must pay off last CC and maybe overdraft then debt free woop!!
Jan wins - Craft stamp, Planet Dinosaur book, Clover butter, nail foils
Good luck all compers :j0 -
Thanks for the suggestions. I listed on Gumtree 4 days ago and have 11 page views and no offers, tried listing gift vouchers on there as well in the past with no success. Not tried the Facebook buy, swap, sell option yet, but both of these are limiting to the local area and geared up to cash on collection? I did offer PayPal and postage on the Gumtree ad though.0

I've never sold tickets, but I have seen this site a few times, when I've been googling

Thanks, checked it out and much the same as the stubhub offering, 25% fee (they say the buyer pays 15% but it is effectively 15% off the sellers price)
"viagogo charges a percentage of the ticket price and this is consistent across all sales for all events, namely 15% of the ticket price to the buyer and 10% to the seller. These fees help us to cover the costs of upholding our guarantee, maintaining our secure online ticketing platform and providing customer support 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Buyers are also charged for the recorded delivery of their tickets, which varies depending on where the tickets are being collected from and delivered to."0 -
They are just greedy pigs!!!!!!!0

yep, been burned with that too but I was successful on gumtree. Maybe it depends where you live, I'm in a city. There's also seatwave.com. Their fees are 10% + vat which is about the same as ebay (ebay final value fee is 10% + paypal which is 3.4% + 20p on of the total price including postage)0

There is always Scarlet Mist too, they don't allow anyone to sell for over face value so there are lots of potential buyers looking on there0
