I wondered if anyone else had come across the "Origin dot com" web site. It's the site through which Electronic Arts sells many of it's games, including Sims 3, Fifa 2013 etc. We had reason to contact them because my son's game arrivved by courier and the case was smashed. @wealdroam Nothing sinister in my OP. I thank you for interpreting the Quote I originally posted. I had misread it, that's all.

I had read it as limiting the time you could claim to 90 days or 12 months. A complete error on MY part. My apologies!
