Very confused.com - Noddle

Options
Hi,

Can someone please shed some light on this as I'm a tad confused. My partner had a default that was 6 years old on 24/6/13, It has fallen off her credit file this month with the update from Noddle. Her rating was 3/5 last month, all other accounts in her name are fully up to date, shes not financially linked to anyone etc. She has 3 current accounts with Nationwide, 1 with Natwest and 2 credit cards with Barclays & Vanquis. She also got a new phone contract in April.

When I logged in this morning, I expected to see 5/5, but it has fallen to 1/5. There is no negative factors on her file whatsoever. 1 of the nationwide current accounts is from March and the new phone contract thats all.

I don't understand how its not 5/5 or even 4/5 and I know the default that was there was historical anyway so it wasn't making much of a difference but there are now no negatives at all. She uses her barclays every month and pays it in full and the Vanquis has been used twice since November.

Thanks in advance.

JCG

Yes it's total pap. Mine was 3/5 when I just joined noddle, then as my credit history started to build up it went 2/5. It's now at 3/5 again but my credit is way better than when I signed up.
    Oh, you wee bazza!
  • Yeah I get that. I'm just looking for an explanation as to why it would drop after a default comes off. I know that credit scores have no meaning.

Having defaults is good for the 'score'. Particularly with Experian. So maybe Noddle are applying the same odd logic.

Its just a completely random and made up number with no basis in fact.

    Don't concern yourself with it.
