Should I accept Natwest PPI offer?

Hello all - I've only ever made one PPI claim using the standard template and its been accepted!:j

it was on hubby's behalf who in 1999, was offered and accepted PPI & CPP on opening NatWest credit card when starting out as self employed artist in 1999.

the offer is:
premiums=1338
compounded interest=560
interest at FOS=1215
less tax at 20% 243
TOTAL = £2871

the offer sounds good!

No apology though re inconvenience/ pain of paying premiums as a broke Artist who would never had a chance of a successful PPI claim. Also Natwest completely ignored the CPP claim

why have they deducted tax?

Shall we accept as full and final offer? We're nervous about signing away rights without first checking with other people...

    You were expecting an apology as well as redress?:eek:

    You should have made this as a separate complaint.

    To save you having to pay it and because the interest is taxable!

    Yes, unless you have documentary evidence that you paid more than they are offering. Redress is defined, it's not negotiable.
