We have just received a "Charge Notice" for a vehicle parked in an Asda car park. Previously there have been parking fine notices, warning's in this car park but they have been taken down. Where do I go from here? Do I reply to this letter or not? I can ignore them forever but where do I stand legally? Who are these Cowboys and how can they operate like this?

Obviously the advice to everyone else in about every thread would apply to you, but can I be clear.

Are you saying that there are no signs in the car park any more? 1st step, get and keep some pictures in case they magically reappear!

When did the "offence occur"?
When did you receive the notice to keeper? (Dates are important)

But it looks like, if you are right, with the photographic evidence you would have the simplest of walkovers.

In the meantime, bang off one of stroma's template soft appeals to the PPC asking for the POPLA code (just search for "Dear Scammers" and you will find the template).

Don't attempt to be creative with it by adding anything other than changing Scammers to the PPC name.

But come back with the questions answered.
