Contacted by Lloyds after using a claim company

Hi,

I used a claim company (Key Financial Claims) to claim PPi on 2 loans. One came back successful, I got the money, paid the fee, case closed.

On my Lloyds tsb loan the bank contacted me directly by post and said they will post a cheque in the next 28 days and provided me with the breakdown of the claim. A few days later the PPi claim company contacted me by post with the same figure and a form to sign to say I agree and release the money etc. Also included was a copy of the documents Lloyds had sent direct to me but also a letter from Lloyds, to them, saying they had contacted me directly and they encourage their clients to proceed unaided from this point.

As the cheque is on its way anyway, If I don't sign the paperwork from the claim company do I still have to pay them the fee?

Thanks, Joe

Check the legally binding contract you'll have already signed with Key Financial Claims. The contract will doubtless have a clause wherein you agree for them to represent you in ALL PPI complaints.

I think you'll find a bill landing on your mat very soon.

If you have any other PPI from other Banks, I strongly recommend you cancel this contract before proceeding.
