Missing parcel, refund?

Hi everyone, just after a bit of advice. I ordered some clothing for Debenhams and returned 3 of the items in 2 parcels to the 2 separate warehouses as they requested. The parcels were posted at the same time but I've only received a refund for 1. Debenhams asked me to scan copies of my proofs of postage which I have e-mailed to them. They still say that the refund won't be issues until they receive the parcel but given that it was posted 4 weeks ago I'm losing faith and expect it's been mislaid somewhere. Do I have to just sit it out and wait to see whether they ever receive/find it?

Assuming you sent by Royal Mail, have you thought about claiming from them?

The Distance Selling Regulations say that the refund should be made whether or not the goods are returned. The retailer should then seek damages from you for the missing goods.

In reality, of course the retailer is being quite reasonable in refusing a refund until he receives the returned goods.

Thanks for your reply Wealdroam. I worried unnecessarily as usual! I got another e-mail 10 minutes later saying they'd received my parcel and were processing my refund. What a coincidence that it turned up once they'd seen my proof of postage hey?
