Good Afternoon

I am in the process of moving home (I am going to lodge with my friend) but I want to send all of my mail to my mothers address (other than my main bank account). Will this affect my linked addresses on my credit file?

I don't want multiple addresses on my file, or is this information only used from electoral role information? (Of which I will be updating to my address at my friends)

Do you have any other credit accounts other than your bank account? if so and if you are going to provide those lenders with your mother's address then your credit file would show that address in addition to your friend's address.
Each credit account you have will show the current address for that account on your file.

In the address history part of your file it will show your current/previous address(es) and then will also show your friend's address as provided to them by the bank and if you have any other accounts then your mother's address as provided to them by that credit company.

In the electoral roll section of your file it will show any addresses where you have been on the electoral roll over the past few years.

All accounts should be recorded at the same address as you're registered to vote at otherwise yes there will be multiple address links and yes anyone who searches your credit file will see them and be weary of someone who can't be accurately traced to a specific address.

In situations like this I find it preferable to have everything at a parent's address.

I'll change all addresses to my address where I'll be lodging as I don't want any confusion on my credit report.
