Just over 2 months ago I attended an event where you get to meet celebrities, and for a fee, get their autographs and have professional photographs taken with them. I paid my money, and had a photo taken. The photos were supposed to be available to collect later in the day, but due to them running way over schedule, the event was over before mine, and many others (over 500) were able to be printed and brought back.
The event organisers arranged for our photos to be posted out free of charge to us, and now, more than 2 months on, I have finally received my photograph. I should be happy, but its covered in water spots, and thanks to inadequate packaging (bubble envelope with a piece of corrugated card smaller than both the envelope and photograph) is very bent. The bends are proper creases too, not just curves, so can't be fully straightened just by putting between heavy books.
Do I have any right to ask for a replacement or refund?
I do also have a digital copy of the photo, could I ask for the cost of getting a replacement printed myself?
I'm really not sure if I'm entitled to ask for anything here, but I am very disappointed after waiting patiently for so long.

As above.
What size of print was it? Unless its massive, you're probably better just reprinting it yourself given how cheap it is you'll probably spend more money in phone calls and your time than just to get it printed yourself0 -
Its not a small photo 9x6" approx. I would have to email them, not phone, I don't have a phone number for them, and all my details with them are with my email address anyway.
I will request a reprint. Thanks both. Please excuse my bad spelling and missing letters-I post here using either my iPhone or rathr rubbishy netbook, neither of whch have excellent keyboards! Sorry!0 -
Well a 10" by 8" is normally under a pound to get done.... just need to balance effort -v- costs even if there are principles involved0

You have the important part, the digital copy, getting them printed is peanuts so do it yourself.0
