We were aware of the risks beforehand. I did my research but took their advice based on their stated success record. CDP corporate are based in an affluent area and I wrongly took their advice and success stories and location studpidly as a green light so to speak.

I cant believe these firms are not governed by anyone? The liklihood is I'm one of many as they sit back and line their pockets knowing nobody has a chance of stopping them.

It is an expensive lesson no question. Will citizens advice help? The financial ombudsman doesnt oversee situations like this and I'd like evidence to assure me that they were not still processing my case after the March Budget which I think they still were.

As you clearly stated in your first sentence 'you were aware of the risks' you gambled and lost. If I put all my money on red I can't go to citizens advice when it comes up black.

I say again, you new the risk!

The only other thing which occurs to me, OP, is that you say they are still advertising with a 100% success rate. The Advertising Standards Agency may be a little interested in that, assuming that you have actually told the company of your predicament?

I think the mention of Citizen's Advice was the point where you stetched my disbelief just a little too far. Excellent work up until that point, though.

Yes, I agree, B+ but just over-egged it slightly :T

  • I do not think CDPcorporate are operating legally, thier website states emphatically that they can still mitigate stamp duty, which they cant, they also offer insurance against its failure, however I can report here that when challenged they will not say who the insurance is with or indeed how the insurance would work and under what circumstances. They appear not to be regulated either as many of these con artists arent.
The main message to everyone out there is to avoid these schemes like the plague, they dont work and will only end up costing you more money and stress.

While this has the fingerprints of a troll, we should all be mindful that the MoD need to call the speaking clock, the Westminster villages needs to access !!!!!! over a million times a year and we must fund political parties on their holidays at the annual conferences where the slime and the grime are familiar, so pay up your taxes
