Nothing wrong with Rointe Heaters as a modern digital electric radiator.

Well made, stylish, and more ecconomical than others. Its clearly a product that is misunderstood on other threads. Take a look at the K-Series range for yourself.

Gas would be always be the cheaper option.

On what basis do you justify that statement? It's an electric heater, therefore it's 100% efficient. Just like the one you could buy for £20 at Argos...

WarrenG's post count suggests a Rointe plant.

Storage heaters are the only form of electrical heating that will save you ANY money. They do need to be partnered with an appropriate economy 7 tariff, as well as being coupled and set up correctly.

Direct electric heating will cost a fortune, unless your house is somehow super insulated.

Nothing wrong with much of what you wrote. Some corrections to be made, though.

Well it looks like I've found the Anti Rointe brigade.

I'm not a plant, instead I'm a very highly qualified engineer that knows the difference.

All the information about the Rointe technology is available for all those that can understand how it works.

There's plenty of ASA rulings around including many of the big brand names in the heating world, a simple search will bring them up. Its surprising who is actually listed.

Rointe's a great product and I'll continue to support it.

As a very highly qualified engineer that knows the difference, can you explain how its more economical than others to me ?

What qualifications do you have? I didn't go any further than HND Electronics, but even I know the claims for 'higher efficiency' are total bull.

Electrical heating is 100% efficient, no mater what fancy crap you put around the heating element.

But not to those who understand how basic physics works?

Couldn't your Mum just update the storage heaters to modern slimline versions?

The Warm Front Scheme closed to new applicants earlier this year.
