Presumably you got transportation to your destination. That is generally the reason that people fly!

If you want entertainment, food, and customer service- there are venues in the UK.

So you're the sort of person that pays for a service, only gets part of what they paid for, and is too inadequate to stand up for your rights. Then you want everyone else to be like you too, so you appear less inadequate.

Presumably in 'keithdc-world' it would have been OK for the entire journey to have passed with the OP sitting on the wing, as they 'got transportation to their destination'.

The "dumber" thing to do was to read it twice, I got the gist the first time, I'm glad I don't travel economy. :j

And you're being too sarcastic to note that that the OP hasn't posted a more concise version. That was another user attempting to be helpful.

I wasn't being sarcastic. But point taken, dumbness must be contagious ;)

Where did you expect them to magic up an aisle seat from if they were all occupied ? Or are you miffed they didn't upgrade you?

If you discovered on the outward journey that SAA didn't do meals that met your needs why didn't you bring your own food for the return journey ?

Sorry but the ticketing issue was an administrative error that was rectified before departure and the seat issue was down to you (although who travels without iPad or kindle or whatever nowadays?) you had a choice the cabin crew aren't electronics repair staff. These things happen. . A bit of personal responsibility by checking direct with SAA about what special meals are provided would have avoided the meal issue . Experienced travellers with specific food issues routinely travel with emergency food in case of delays or problems with a special meal not been loaded (it happens). Perhaps a useful tip for future trips.

If the service advertised by the airline, and paid for by the customer, isn't provided then I think it's entirely reasonable to be annoyed with their poor service.

OP never mentioned an upgrade, but in this case that would have been the difference between poor and good customer service. Shame the airline chose the poor service option.

I think she has good reason to be mad with both companies, she got her flight there yes but she didn't get a meal on either flight, plus a hell of a lot of messing around. You would have thought they would have done this as she pre ordered and also phoned them before the return flight. Terrible service!
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
