Interesting question from the travel board

Hi all,

someone has posted an interesting question regarding insurance on the travel board.

If one were to hire a car abroad (or even this country) take out an excess reduction policy and then make a claim on the policy, would this need to be declared to your own car insurance company as a claim.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

The accident / incident / claim itself would need to be declared depending on the question posed by the Insurer.

Most ask along the lines of "Have you had any accidents or claims or losses (Whether claimed or not) within the last five years.
