Hi Does anyone know how long cheques are valid to pay into a bank account?
I know there is a time limit and have in my head 6 months but cannot find anywhere to check this. Thanks.

Its usually 6 months unless otherwise stated (some companies may stop a cheque if not presented within a certain window for example).
However, some will cash older cheques, so it may be worthwhile presenting it to the bank anyway, unless its years old.0 -

Some cheques state they are valid for XX months. I recall HMRC cheques were valid for a year (this was many moons ago thoigh!).If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0
