First time buyer scheme dilemma

Hello Just wondering if anybody can help.
Just got a 1st time buyer scheme house with Taylor Wimpey. However we got it in Winter and now it is summer we have been living with the nightmare of it being on a flight path. There are planes coming across the top of the house at 3am, 4am, 5am, 6am and I can not function in my job.
The rules state we can not rent it out as it is on this scheme, howeve r does anybody know how enforeceable these rules are and if we could rent it out, who to? Because all agencies appear to want an approval from the mortgage company?
Also we spent 7k deposit, and at least 3k on carpets etc to make it liveable. How long would we need to live in the house to sell it and break even.
I am completely miserable with the house and its location. I am 30 years old and have had to move back in with parents to sleep and be able to pay for this nightmare of a house.
Any advice would be appreciated
The government scheme gave us 20% loan and we took a mortgage on 75% after the 5% deposit was put down. I fear we are trapped.
Can't marry next year because of this situation and I wanted to have children and feel I can't now because of this mess.

This is not a sarcastic or facetious response, and I am not trying to be harsh or mean.
Get some decent earplugs. You've spent the money without doing enough research so now you will have to live with it, at least for the time being. Humans can adapt to almost anything. In time you will get used to the noise.0 -

That's good advice. I had to do the same due to noisy neighbours and building work outside but it definitely worked

How about installing sound proof windows in your bedroom?0

You don't want this house, you can't afford this house, this house has a flaw that impacts anyone that lives there, even with consent to let becoming a landlord is not a solution.
You need to focus on moving on from this house, you'll have to take a short term financial hit (was the flyover problem present when purchasing? or was it not reflected in the price you paid?) but in the long term it'll pay off because being a landlord out of financial hardship is crazy, landlording is a decision that should not be taken lightly, especially when it can further strain your finances if you have a bad tenant. If you can't afford to pay your mortgage for up to 6 months out of pocket 'cause your tenant is delinquent and you find it difficult to get a new tenant after jumping through court hoops... you're asking for trouble.0 -

which airport is summer only?
Confused I am!?!?0 -
I think flight paths change every X months .... OP, perhaps you can research what future flight path plans are? It this is going to happen every X months, then decent (not cheap! Real deal!) earplugs will make a world of difference. You can get great vibrating alarm clocks to pop under your pillow for waking up as they do block out pretty much everything (though some high frequency sounds might get through like piercing fire alarms, etc).0
